Vespa Elettrica, electric version of Vespa, has been introduced at EICMA in Milan.
Since the debut in 1946 Milan Fair, 18 million Vespas have been sold worldwide..
It seems to be a right direction for Vespa to go electric with everything go hybrid to electric nowadays.
No build details or pricing is revealed yet, but it’ll be offered on sale in late 2017 in all metal body.
And it’ll be totally worth waiting for, if they make it look lil more attractive in a production version.
FYI, Piaggio Group, parent company of Vespa brand, is the European leader of the two-wheel segment with a market share of 15.5% selling over 411,700 vehicles this year alone.
Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, and Gilera are all in the same family with Vespa.
Hoping the styling would be as intriguing as this Vespa 946 Project RED.
