Plitvice Lakes National Park, it was one of the two reasons (the other being Dubrovnik) I’ve suddenly decided to make a trip to Croatia.
Then it was like nowhere else on the planet I’ve been..
I was almost crying because it was so beautiful.. I’ve realized a person can cry out of looking at the nature..
There could be fairies everywhere in this incredible place.
From the Park Entrance 2, you follow down the trail, cross the lake by walking on wooden boardwalks and paths to enjoy the large fall on the right.
The waters are so clean there are thousands of, maybe more, fishes living in there.
The Incredibly fascinating Topaz like colors of the lake, due to dissolution and sedimentation of limestone and chalk over thousands of years, is totally beyond words..
The uphill trail from the cave was very stiff and long, then disappointingly, there wasn’t much on top. So I suggest you wouldn’t.
Then there are boats taking you over the lake to the Entrance 3 area.
On the waiting ares, there’s a souvenir shop which sells soft drinks and icecreams.
Gotta be lucky not to wait too long, also there are normally long long lines with group tourists.
Shuttle buses from Entrance 3 to Entrance 2 and back are modified Mercedes UNIMOG!
Unfortunately, I needed to wrap up at Entrance 2 to be able to get to Split by late afternoon.
There would be so much more to explore in this incredibly beautiful National Park.
